This work is a reflection on how object and landscape add up to a collective visual record. An examination of how the sometimes gentle, sometimes rough moments when these two meet, affect our experience of place. In this installation we refer to the concept of Mauri, which is a belief in the flow of Mana from object or material to person. Through observing and interacting with a fictitious assembly of materials, structure, nature and bodily form, we consider our sensual and visceral experience of this place – on the edge of the world, and the Mana of our identity.
