Triangulum is an interactive light installation that is beautiful by day and by night. The work is a maze of pathways that people can either wander through or alongside. Drawing its name from the Latin for triangle, and also referencing the Triangulum Galaxy, this work certainly seems to have celestial origins with its twenty seven thousand points of light.

Triangulum can be approached from many different angles and the experience and view is always different and changing. Viewed from afar, Triangulum frames and segments the environment in which it sits. From other angles, it frames people wandering within it. Interaction takes place on an analogue level as people’s views are captured and distorted. The posts are semi-reflective and the corner facets are filled with LED pixels. By day the lights are invisible and at night the light shines through the glass.
