Into the Shadows is an interactive performance space that combines our feature installation Hybocozo with various performance pieces; you may see Chloe Loftus performing Arboreal Aerialist alongside Abagail Rose and Rochelle Brophy, the choreography of Amber Stephens and her contemporary dance crew. Some ghostly performances from the Remarkable Theatre group and some hauntingly live composition from AJ Hickling.

Michael Hill International Violin Competition also brings a unique soundscape to feature alongside Hybocozo.

About the artist:
THE ARBOREAL AERIALIST – CHLOE LOFTUS The Arboreal Aerialist is an aerial installation performance 10 metres up a tree. An ethereal ‘mesmerising’ performance of choreographed aerial dance with music. Chloe Loftus is Italian born and New Zealand bred, emigrating to the UK in 1997. Working internationally as a freelance dancer, Chloe also choreographs and performs for her own company, Chloe Loftus Dance, formed in 2005. Her work is routed in contemporary dance-theatre with a passion for creating work outdoors, harness aerial dance and ‘mass movement’ direction for large-scale events. Chloe has been nominated for a Theatre Critics of Wales Award for Best Small Scale Dance Production, created work for Cultural Olympiad events, numerous music and arts festivals and has collaborated with National Theatre Wales. Chloe returned to live in New Zealand in 2016 and is excited to be unleashing her creativity here
