SILO and Angus Muir collaborated on this bespoke piece developed specifically for LUMA 2016.

The piece was designed with the hexagonal shape of the rotunda in mind. The sculpture is made up of 168 LED globes suspended in a dome shape, each light is individually addressed allowing the entire shape to be mapped with light, from waves, shapes, of any colour and intensity. Control of the lights comes from a custom lighting patch and a light plinth which sits outside the rotunda. The plinth itself is also fully interactive and forms an integral part of the installation.
